The State Agency of Ukraine for Investment and Development

According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine “On the creation of the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations” dated from December 30, 2005 № 1873 (the text is given in the original version), the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations was created and Mr. IVCHENKO Viktor Anatoliyovich was assigned the Head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations.

In May 16, 2007 by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine № 749 “Some issues of the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations” (the text is given in the original version) the new “Decree on the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations” (the text is given in the original version) was approved according to which the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations is a specially authorized central body of the executive power in the sphere of innovation activity.

As a central body of the executive power the Agency in its activity is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine and the Laws of Ukraine and also by the Decrees of the President of Ukraine and Decrees of the Verkhovna Rada, accepted according to the Constitution of Ukraine and the Laws of Ukraine, the acts of the Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine and the Agency’s status.

The Law of Ukraine “On the innovation activity” (the text is given in the original version), which defines legal, economic and organizational aspects of the State regulation of innovation activity in Ukraine, determines the forms of stimulation of innovation processes by the State and directed at the supporting of the development of Ukrainian economy through innovations.

The Law of Ukraine “On the investment activity” (the text is given in the original version) defines general legal, economic and social conditions for the investment activity on the territory of Ukraine. The Law is directed on the ensuring of the equal protection of the rights, interests and property of the subjects of investments activity regardless of forms of property, and also on the effective investment of national economy of Ukraine, the development of the international economic cooperation and integration.
